Charge Descriptions Not Appearing

If you have added a new item in QuickBooks, but when you go to use that item in QXpress, it is not in the list of charge descriptions, one of the following might be the cause:
 

1. Have you clicked Get new QB data since then? Every time you add a new item in QuickBooks, you have to close QXpress, start it up, and click the Get New QB data button. You'll know you have gotten QB data if you go to the QXpress charge description list, and look in the Item dropdown list for any charge description, scroll down, and see it in the dropdown list. 

2. It is in the charge description list, but you cannot schedule it. You can only create a new schedule for a charge description that is assigned to a QB Item that is of type 'Service'. All other items like 'Discount', 'Non Inventory Part', 'Inventory', 'Payment' can only be added in the Job Items tab of any job. 

3. Was the item within an Item Group? QXpress does not interact with QuickBooks Item Groups, or the individual items within an Item Group.
